Explosion Abstracta
The goal was to create a piece of work for the end of the year exhibition that reflected upon a culmination of the work we had created over the 4 years of the undergraduate program.
This piece is a vibrant stone lithograph enhanced with mixed media, blending traditional printmaking with contemporary artistic elements. Bold black lines serve as the foundation, creating a dynamic framework of geometric and organic shapes. Splashes of vibrant colors—such as fiery reds, deep blues, and sunny yellows—add energy and depth, while textures from the mixed media techniques create layers of visual intrigue. The interplay between controlled forms and expressive splatters evokes a sense of movement and spontaneity, inviting viewers to interpret the composition in their own unique way.
